Pat Bamford Signs With the Blades After Initiating Abusive Songs Targeting Manager Wilder
The striker has joined the Championship side just half a year following instigating derogatory taunts aimed at the team's coach, Wilder.
The 32-year-old forward, without a club since leaving Leeds United, has signed a deal joining the second-tier strugglers through the winter. Bamford's lengthy time with Leeds concluded by mutual consent this past summer.
Among Bamfordâs last memorable actions as a Leeds player included starting insulting songs about Chris Wilder amid Leeds' promotion party in April. Now, the former England international will feature for Wilder as the Bladesâ manager aims to rescue the team he loves away from the relegation zone.
Past History Involving the Striker and the Manager
Both men had a past prior to Leeds earned promotion back to the Premier League the previous campaign and United were defeated in the playoff final by Sunderland. Wilder called Bamford as a "muppet" back when the roles were reversed in 2018-19 and Sheffield United won automatic promotion whereas Leeds missed out in the playoffs.
Making Amends & Looking Ahead
Everything appears has been forgiven and forgotten with Sheffield United, the Championshipâs lowest scorers, urgently requiring of improvement in attack while Bamford hoping to revive his career.
The song about Wilder went viral in April. An apologetic Bamford and the Leeds manager, Farke, phoned the Sheffield United manager the next day.

The forward made 18 games with Leeds United last season but the former Nottingham Forest, Chelsea FC and Middlesbrough striker has faced difficulties with fitness issues over the past few seasons.
