The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the forty-five charges comprise:
- 15 counts of assault.
